North Atlantic Song Convention (NASC)

6-8 March 2026
Edinburgh | Scotland

Celebrating and sharing traditional folk song from across the North Atlantic region.

About NASC

The North Atlantic Song Convention (NASC) is an international, cross-cultural project promoting, celebrating and supporting our North Atlantic song traditions. NASC meets every spring in Edinburgh as well as hosting one-off NASC events across the North Atlantic region throughout the year.

What makes NASC special is its intimate scale – with under 100 participants, there’s time and space for everyone to share songs, make friends, and feel part of the community. The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive, whether you’re an experienced singer or simply curious about traditional song. Through workshops, informal sessions, and social gatherings, participants discover new songs, learn about different traditions, and forge lasting connections.
